All the kit parts were spares that included a piece of one tube, the centerband and one coupler from a PSI Classic Fountain Pen. Also used a nib assembly from CSU and a section of 1/2 inch brass tubing from a hobby store. The centerband was modified to fit (press fit) inside the 1/2" tube. The other end of the 1/2" tube was flanged just enough to make a nice fit just inside the lip on the case. No wood dowels were used inside the brass case.
