5/32 long drill bit?

My current drills are too short for a letter opener. I need a HS 5/32" drill bit about 5" long. I been using a cheap one that has about died from heat in exotics. Does anyone know a source. Harry

How does a drill bit "die"?
Have you tried sharpening it?
As noted, long bits are readily available.
