Today is Dee and my 39th anniversary, so the last few days I've been converting a spare bedroom into a sewing room/bedroom. A few years ago she gave away her sewing equipment when she had cancer and a hip replacement, but now feels she can sit and do hobby sewing so I bought her a new serger and sewing maching for our anniversary and her birthday which is this Tuesday.
The very best 39 years of my life....so it's out to dinner tonight:smile:

Congratulations Roy, that's a real story of success to get that far together and to enable her to do something she enjoys once again.

Congrats Roy & Dee. Roy it is about time you gave Dee a break from slaving over that stove for you. 39 years. WOW. Shouldn't Dee get some sort of award for puttin up with you all those years? :biggrin::eek::biggrin:

AWARD wouldn't Sainthood be in the mix after that long. I am only at 20 and everyone that knows mt wife has already put her up for for it.

Congrats and a very happy anniversary to you both! I have 23 years in but believe it is a life sentence, er, commitment, yeah, commitment!
 
Just back from OKC and dinner. Dee and I thank all for the well wishes and yes she is a saint besides my best friend and lover.

i just turned 37 this past week and don't have many people in my age group that share my passion for woodworking so i was excited to see your post. then i read it and was almost brought to tears. congratulations. and heres to many more.
 
Happy 39th! We had our 33rd last month. The sewing room sounds great, please post some photos when you get it finished. And Happy Birthday from Texas.
 
Well done, sir. Thanksgiving week marked the start 30 years of relationship for the Mrs & me. So don't stop now, we're hot on your tail! :rolleyes:
