Thank youHoly ****! This is beautiful! I have not seen something like this done in the fountain pen community before. WOW!
What are the internals of this - this looks similar to what I want to make. Its truly stunning!!"Obstacles de la vie"
So this is my first completed pen this year, not because of any great difficulty although there are a lot of elements, life just got in the way, hence the name.
Walnut, Padauk and Holly, black tulip veneer, black and red pvc accents and black acrylic. I made an option of fountain or refillable roller section.
Thanks David, there's a lot dimension involved as I had to make an acrylic core and finial for the barrel and a similar idea for the cap and sections. The internal for the cores are - barrel is 9.1mm internal diameter to allow for M10 x 1mm thread for the matching section and also allow me to mount on a mandrel for turning and shaping. Cap is 12.3mm internal diameter to allow for a triple M13 x 0.8mm thread ( the threaded collar on the barrel matches this). I generally use Bock #6 nibs and carriers for my fountain pens so threads and sizes are based on and around that. If you need more information I'm happy to make a diagram , may take a day or two thoughWhat are the internals of this - this looks similar to what I want to make. Its truly stunning!!
Cheers
