30cal. Bolt Action American flag pen?

I have a question's for those who have made pen's like this.

#1. Will CA glue work to join the stars and stripes together?

#2. Do you use CA glue as a finish or buff it out?

Any pointers on how to finish this type of pin blank would be appreciated.

It's been a while since I've made one, but if I remember correctly, after setting the stars and the stripes in place, you brush it with thin CA to set them. I then brushed the whole barrel with thin CA so that it fills in all the pieces before turning. I then turned to the specifications and finished with a CA finish.
