I managed to get MUCH better glue-up lines on this one thanks to some patience and 150 grit. It went pretty well, and you can see through the blank in the thin areas. I did reverse paint black, but it looks like some paint got knocked out when I glued the tube in. I'm not too mad about it, as it still looks pretty good.

I gotta say that's the only bullet pen I've seen that I actually like. That's pretty cool. The colors and the bit of ivory go perfectly with the bullet casing thingy. Very nice.

Thanks! That's a little bit of a relief. I had gotten some feedback right after I made it that the colors weren't working too well together. I was starting to wonder if I was alone in my opinion that it was any good. Normally it doesn't bug me, but this is probably one of the 3 or 4 personal favorites out of all of the pens I've ever turned.

Pen looks great! I make a lot of rifle pens with antler, but very few acrylic. I definitely like your design on that pen.

Believe it or not, the black is polyresin, which is a distinctly different beast than acrylic, bit similar end results. I've done a few with the resins, and as long as it goes with the plating on the hardware, they usually look great when finished.
