I'm looking for a piece that resembles sand or sandstone.

I have a lot of 1/2" stuff and I do not want to glue it up. I don't want any seam.

Please send me a message if you have a piece around your looking to sell, trade or deal.

Thanks

corian is only made in half inch thickness. any other thickness is glued and sut to size. i use medium CA and have not been able to detect a seam on any finished part.

I didn't know it was only in 1/2 size. I have a lot but the pieces I had that I needed would not go together without a seam for some reason. Course I only had 2 pieces and messed them up way too bad. I usually do two different colors so the "no seam" is not/was not an issue.

Thanks

I've got some 3cm stuff if your interested. Green sand, black pebble, blue pebble, green pebble, and white pebble.

And no, it wasn't glued. It's 3cm, and there's only one company who makes it that thick.

If it is Coriam....there is only one company that makes it period !!
Your right. I should have said that, "I have 3cm solid surface. "

So sorry. Most I've seen around here use "Corian" as a general term for all the solid surface brands.

I have some 3/4" Corian brand that is NOT glued up. It has not been made for about 20 years but YES it is Corian and yes it is 20 years old, but it never gets old. The colors are limited because back then it was usually, pink, whites, beige colors, some blacks and some grey.
There are a couple of companies making 3/4" again but it is really hard to get.
BTW corian brand adhesive is liquid corian and when cures there is NO seam. Corian is acrylic, brands like Avonite have many colors made with all polyester and even with the Avonite brand adhesive some will show seams.
If you use CA glue correctly and use Corian either with no pattern or very little you can get two pieces glued together without the joint showing.

I have in my hand as I write this, some 3/4 inch - it ain't easy to find but it does exist. There are few color choices. (Corian is a brand name and what I have might have been sold under another name.)

You can also look up EOS. It is a solid surface material in the size you are looking for. I have access to blue and green at this point.

This thread has been very helpful to me. I have been limiting my use of Corian to the thinner profiles of Slimline pens and in making custom seam rippers. Eric, thank you very much for your info; I looked up the website of your recommended material, and wow, I found two sources within 5 miles of me. Based on the product info on the site, and the stock sizing, this sounds like a winner to me.

See Post #8. I posted a pic of it.
