any one ever hear of a source for 2x2 Bethelhem Olive Wood?? I wanted to make some Dreidles for Hanukkah, Probably a dumb idea, but I just thought it might be fun, I can CNC engrave the lettering on each side but I would like to do it on wood with Certs!!

Probably won't work for you anyway, but I just picked up a two 4 packs of "Olive Wood" stopper blanks from WC. It's not labeled BOW, just OW.

It measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 2"
 
Ken, as a member of the Jewish faith that is not a dumb idea. I actually LOVE the idea and will probably steal it for next year. (not sure why I didn't think of it myself).

As for BOW heck you can probably get away with a cert. JOW as BOW is typically more of a Christian wood. Just my $0.02.

Hey no problem with stealing the idea, I'm not sure given the region I live in how many Jewish folks there are, I know of one girl in Adamsville and she just had a son, so there might be one sale, I wish I had a couple with me right now, we're at the biggest show of our year and there are lots of upper crust social status patrons of the arts that will be arriving tonight, I want to make one for my Grandson. I'm pretty sure there is a Temple in Memphis that has a craft show, and while it's too late for this year, I may try and get in next year. there might even be one in Jackson TN. not sure, I haven't been in a Synagogue in over 30 years, but maybe it wouldn't hurt too bad.
