This afternoon made this lil segmenting piece.... after all the replys to my CA problem, I got it! Slow Down! Great advice guys. Ate dinner spent a hour in the man cave and produced a piece I could be alright with, only turning once, But learned a few things! Dont think you tightened the tail stock know you did :eek:
CA will glue applicator to your finger. Turning a hard wood blank ROCKS, When buffing small pieces between fingers will leads to blank getting airborn!
When turning molded blanks does it have the feel of hard wood?
Well here they are, #2 shows some airborn damage :biggrin:

Oh yeah Bob I tried showing both sides. :laugh:

That's better.
One thing to keep in mind about CA finish is that you are basically putting a layer of plastic on the piece. The more layers the more depth it will have.
And, like finishing acrylics, I use the same micro mesh and plastic polish.
Just remember that it is all too easy to get too aggressive with the sanding and go through the thin layer. DAMHIK!
