223 Bullet Pen

Had a few once fired 223 cases., managed to buy some bullets for same.

Blank is a new one I made, Olive Drab.

The 223 case is quite a bit shorter and thinner than the 308, seen here behind the 223

The top has to be made a fair longer as the bottom tube sticks out quite a bit

The wall thickness of the blank is also quite thin and for that portion there is no supporting tube, which caused some grief on my first attempt!

No, for 2 reasons:

1 There is a bit missing, only tiny, but it is missing

2 No matter how well I would fix it, I would know it was there!:redface:

PSI sells a 8mm pencil tube in bulk that is a slightly loose fit for a 7mm tube if you want reinforcement for the barrel where the 7mm tube extends. (kind of like the cigar tube fitting in the Sierra tube but a little more loose).

Give me a PM and I will cut a few pieces to the length you want and drop in the post to you to try without having to have a whole package shipped to "down under".

Excellent pens Fred, shame about the break as that blank would have looked awesome on a bullet pen!
