Entry One
Title of Your Entry: Burned Purpleheart
Description: So, when I made this pen out of purpleheart it wasn't a deep purple like it originally had been. I looked up how to make it darker and then a thread from this website came up. It said direct sunlight and heat make it darker. So, I took a rag and held up against the blank on the lathe until it started to burn and become a great dark stripey purple! It's made of purpleheart and a chrome capped pen kit and I finished it sanding, burning it purple, more sanding, and a finishing wax.

Entry Six
Title of Your Entry:
Description: When I started stabilizing I was stabilizing everything and and not keeping track of anything.
So your guess is as good as mine but I thought it was cool.
The kit is a Hurricane and the finish is Glu-Boost

Entry Seven
Title of Your Entry: Australian Red Coolibah Cigar
Description: This is an Australian Red Coolibah Burl Cigar Pen in Gold/Satin Gold. The blank was unstabilized, so I waited nearly a year before turning any of this wood. The finish is CA, micro-meshed through all the grits. Followed up with PlastX plastic polish.

Entry Eight
Title of Your Entry: Black hole olive
Description: Olive wood heartwood, oil sanded and finished with pens plus in.

Entry Eleven
Title of Your Entry: Elegant Amboyna
Description: This Baron fountain pen is dressed in a beautiful amboyna burl, one of my all time favorites. The components are fitted so that the grain aligns whether it is capped or posted. I treated it with CA a few times as I turned to prevent blowout. Finished with 10 coats of CA, wet sanded with Zona, then Novus 2 & 1 for the finishing touch.
