2016 Christmas Ornament

Last year I started making an annual "collector" ornament. I just made this year's and I never posted the one from last year, so I am including it here as well. So, the one from last year was the Banksia Nut ornament and the one from this year was the Festival Maxi Blank. I did cheat a little and bought the finials, but next year I'll be turning my own finials as well, since now I have the collet chuck to hold it. I'll give these as gifts to my parents and grandparents, as well as keeping one for our tree.:biggrin:

I also threw in a couple of mini ornaments that turned out well.

Very nice! I turned a couple this year for the first time. Not quite that nice though.

I love those Tim! The banksia is my favorite. The rest are also wonderful.

I bought them through Woodcraft.com - although I believe that you can get them from WildWood Design - Supplies for the Woodturing Jeweler as well for a little less.
