I picked up a slab of this redwood from a 200 year old bridge at my last IAP meeting. Two 5"x5" squares, and one 5"x1", all are ~5/8" thick. I recommend stabilizing if you want to use these for turning. $24 shipped.

Joe, if any one wants to know how to stabilize this Redwood have them contact me. I'd be more than happy to walk them through the process I used. I just finished stabilizing some very old Redwood and it came out very nice, but it's a long process to correctly stabilize it. I used a vacuum chamber with Cactus Juice.- Tom
