20" plus Flame Box Elder Bowl

I gave a friend alot of Flame Box Elder a while back and this is one of the pieces he made from it. It has recently been sold but I had to show it off. He does great work. It's over 20" across and is finished with Epoxy I think. I added a pen of mine in there to show some size.

I think it was around 8" tall. I can say the pictures doesn't do it justice at all. As far as price it was over $600.00. I do not think it was cored out. I think the interior turned out to be sawdust.
