Went to Nashville yesterday for my daughter's dance recital. In between dance numbers, I went across the street to H.F. I have never been to H.F. before. Really lucked out. Right place, right time. I simply handed them a coupon for a free tape measure that was in last Sunday's paper and they ended up giving me a ton of free things and super discounts. I didn't join their "club" either.
25' 6000 lb tow rope - $5
Punch set - $5
50 shop towels - $3
6 piece pliers on sale for $6.99 - $4
Tons of other stuff.
I am now a fan

Harbor Freight is a great store. I could spend hours on a single visit there...

...oh wait--I have.

I HATE HF. That place SUCKS. I cant go there without emptying my stinkin wallet.

Seriously, it is a great store! I always end up buying extras also.

Hey, I went to HF yesterday also (St. Louis about 140 miles from home). I made a nice list before I left home, but somehow I ended up with a lot more than was on the list. Harbor Freight and then White Castle for sliders made for a great day.

I can always find something I didn't know I had to have when I go to HF...

Yeah, that's exactly it too.

I actually have a drawer in my toolbox that I call the HF drawer.
It's all the misc. tools that I bought there, that I didn't need, but know that someday, it'll come in handy.

I don't know when that someday will be, but when it comes, i'll have the tool!

HF

Except for "C" clamps, at least one of everything I buy at HF breaks as soon as I get it home.

The pressure pot took 3 hours of tuning up before it only lost all pressure in 2 hours instead of 2 minutes.

However, the little orange chop saw that most demean works fine for cutting tubing and small blanks. Cherry Tree Toys sells it for 2x HF. I doubt that it is any better from them.

I continue to go there but not to buy quality items that I want to last (Except "C" clamps).

+1

I have an arbor press and a punch set from HF that I use regularly. Everything else I've ever bought there has ended up in the trash can.
