That is a very nice blank you have there. You may want to take your blanks down just a bit more in your future pens. I know it is a bit disconcerting when you are starting out to get them too small but the bushings really can be a good guide. I don't like this style taken down too far though. Just a little bit more off and I think you would really have something here. This is a good effort though..
 
I'm with the slightly slimmer look but very nice pen! Can't say that I've ever seen a gator jaw slim before:eek:. Show your lathe too as some of us like tool porno:biggrin:
 
I totally agree about making it slimmer but reason behind it was as Im turning Im seeing less and less acrylic. I was scared the jaw would just shatter if I took it down too much, and yes I had never seen a gator trim line either but it has a great feel in hand and good weight. Thanks for comments.
