1st decent custom nib

Designed with a rollerball in mind. I'll glue it to a contrasting color grip to match the barrel, whatever it may end up to be.

The hole ended up being a smidge off center, so to align it properly I may open it up for a different refill.

I was just tired of the bullet and phallic shapes that so many pens seem to have. I wanted something different.

It's amazing how highly polished it looks in the hand, and how rough it looks in a macro shot. :smile-big:

Oh, there was a question in here too... What diameter do ya'll who make your own shoot for? That tenon is 3/8" making for a pretty large nib.

What material was used to make it? What grade also.

Aluminum of some sort.

Are you going to do a center band, clip and final too? Have you considered other materials such as stainless, titanium etc.

Yeah, the fittings will all match. The only question is the clip. Matching the color of aluminum will be tough.

I have played a little with stainless, but my files are all cheap junk so it's not been much fun so far. Aluminum I can use my regular tools.
