When I made this I kept thinking I've seen this somewhere, brought it into the house and was sitting at my desk and happen to have my copy of Fountain Pens Past and Present on the desk. I set the pen down on the book and BINGO thats where I saw this. I think this blank will be my first attempt at a component-less pen. There is a slight difference as the blank has some red flecks and the 1928 Moore hasn't, but other than that not much difference and it turned and polished great.

Doc, in less than an hour my first component-less went from an Antique to a new Yard O Led copy ......now to get in touch with Mike Redburn for the clip.

I'm sorry Roy...I have the pen and the resin is called Ebony and Cream..it was made for Yard-O-Led to commemorate the Art Deco era of the 20's. I think you will make a fine looking component-less pen from it. :smile: Doc
 
I knew you wouldn't let that lathe set idle for too long. I like your ambitions too Roy. I need one of those books!:biggrin: I'm looking forward to more photos of YOUR componentless pens.
