1911 grips

Ok, not what you are thinking. I don't have any made..... But I'm thinking about making a set or two for the two Rock Island 22TCMs (1911 base) that I own. One has a very thin set of grips that are a cheap rubberized plastic. Don't know if I can use a filled wood. Anyone have some that they have made in the past and can post pics? Filled wood? Are you asking about wood that has been stabilized or wood that has been cast like the worthless wood blanks?

But here are a few that i have made from osange orange, amboyna burl and a couple othe woods.

I've made a few sets. Once I made my 1st pen, I never made another set of grips.
