It is amazing to me the number of people that follow or do a hobby and buy off flea bay or other auction sites paying more than retail. And don't know about forums or sites/suppliers that are dedicated to the hobby, they are working in.

I talked to somebody that was into making found metal parts sculptures, while in a hospital waiting room. They passed by my tablet that was on a metal art forum. They said that, they never gave it a thought that there were others, let alone whole communities on the subjects.

Sort of them being halfa$$ computer literate, like how often do you forget to google something first? I know I do sometimes.

Same thing happens to collectors, They know of flea bay but never think to explore the web further. Some times the numer of people that are in their 30's 40's and older only use their computers for games, news, weather, sports or the social sites and nothing else. My wife does the games and keeping in touch with friends and family only and the occasional purchase.
:clown:

And it is missing the tubes. Also I told him that and that it retails for around $3.00 ripoff is all I can say.

Beware the buyer, If you are going to get far enough into something that you are
required to purchase different things for than there is a certain amount of homework that should be done, unfortunately there are people out there that will hunt out the non-informed and try to scam them instead of working for their money.
Hammer the posting with comments on what the kit is really worth!!

The funny thing about ebay to me is often times the ad description will include a link to a site selling the item cheaper. They are to busy to create their own ad. It confirms the old adage that there is one born every minute.

He may have made an honest mistake in the listing. He may not have researched the product well enough. I run across these type of listings on Ebay occasionally. Usually the seller is simply in error, and not trying to cheat people. I sometimes wonder though if they do a search even on Ebay to see what the competition is selling theirs for.

I have purchased from this seller before, I know that the kits are the major cheapy ones. But when you have to do a demo for kids, they work well.
They guy is honorable seller never had any issues. If he had it at $15.00 I'm sure it was a typo

Based on his response to me, I don't think it was a typo as much as not knowing what they sold for... Plus he also originally had a "make offer" button up there. I don't think if you meant to put $2, you'd also put a offer button. Looking at their completed auctions, it appears they re-list a lot of items - apparently starting a bit on the high side and coming down each time. I've seen more of that since ebay started offering 50 free listings a month. Guess it's one way to not have to do your research on what the price should be, and occasionally catch the buyer who doesn't know what it should sell for.

Edit - Still he fixed it when he was given the info... Thumbs up for that!
