Turned this a little over a year ago. Just captured some photos of it. The figure is stunning in the right light.

Nice fine grain maple; thanks for the photos.
Beautiful piece.

Nice job on the photos as well.
Thank you.

Photography is another thing I do, so it's been helpful to be able to leverage that for taking product photos. Still, I normally do wildlife, birds, nature stuff. ;) Still life/product photography is a whole different thing....still learning the ropes.

Nice curves , great photos and , as you say , stunning figure.

Must be worth a few Brownie points from SWMBO ?

Thank you all!

I have a whole stack of blanks to make more platters from. Not sure when I'll get to them, but, I think all of them are decently figured, or burled, so they should make for some nice platters. It seems its become hard to find a good high quality ripple figured maple blank here now. Rockler used to sell boatloads of them...but these days, the ripple figure is barely A grade, if that, most of the time, and usually there is little to no figure that remains after turning to shape. Really sad... Not sure why, maybe there just aren't any maples with this figure being cut right now, not sure. Some of my favorite wood, though.
