12" Lathe Mount Disc Sander Build .

Made this 12" disc sander for my lathe . Making the disc was very simple . Designing a good dust collection system for it took a little more planning .

In my little 90 square foot micro shop , dust collection is quite important .

William; That looks good. One idea I copied somewhere. Make the hold down a bar that just slips into the gap in the bedways when aligned. Twist the knob to tighten. Turn other way to loosen. You could also add a "limit pin" to prevent the bar from turning too far..

Good idea .
I will look into doing that modification .
I would imagine just a 1/4" slot outward from the hole where the bolt goes in now would do the trick .
