Secret Compartment Pill Holder.

I used a 12 Gauge Gevelot Shotgun Shell with a paper casing and brass base.
Polished the bass and applied 4 coats of lacquer using my Dipping Method.

Pressed out the live primer using transfer punch after making it inert by wetting the primer powder. Removed all the wet powder and filled empty primer with Med CA and pressed back into base.
WARNING: Do not attempt to remove a live primer until making it inert.

Turned the holder using a piece of maple to fit inside the casing and anchored with some Med CA. Made a friction fit cap from maple and applied 4 coats of lacquer.

I think it's a pretty clever idea for turning and it looks great too. And I'm thinking it'd make a great pill bottle, not knowing what you plan to put in it.

Excellent work as always Les along with your outstanding photography.
You sure come up with some unique one of a kind ideas to compliment your sales of pens and regular items.
As mentioned elsewhere, the only thing I personally think could improve the looks of this one would be if the friction fit cap had a brass color finish applied to match the bottom.
