BTW, I'm looking at that "burl" and I'm thinking more and more that its just a large growth, or noodle, I can't see crinnilations in the pictures, and it's not growing on the side of the tree. $10,000 is a lot of money to find out that its not a burl.[}][}]

If it is a burl, just imagine the sunburst veneers you could get from it.

However, the idea of a gigantic single piece out of that would probably yield the best return.

While you are at it, you might want to weld the car in the picture on the lathe as counterbalance, you never know, and safety first.....
