Hi Folks,
I have just acquired the motor and fan box section of a dust extractor and I am wondering about the filter bags I should use. The label on the motor says that it is 1/2 HP and that it moves 500 cubic mtrs / hour. I have read in other threads that the 1 micron filters are the best option for the fine dust that kill you but I am concerned about loss of performance when trying to move that much air through 1 micron bags.
Will it be better to get a bag as big as possible?
Could I use a 5 micron inside a bigger 1 micron?
Any help on this would be appreciated as it is my first attempt at dust extraction.
