Below is a purchase that finally got set up properly this month. It is a Grizzly 15 inch planer. The first picture is of the planer, and the second picture is of my old Delta 12.5 inch planer bolted on top - so both can be set for different sizes and finishes. I like the Delta because it is easier to use with small stuff - gives a glass finish on some woods, and has absolutely nothing wrong with it. I like the Grizzly because it is a workhorse that takes a 15 inch board and doesn't slow down, has two speeds, and it is precise in all ways.
I've put gates on the dust collector system, and the 1 hp Jet system grabs all of the chunks.
Here is the thank you:
This was the tool I won from the 3rd Anniversary Drawing - a 3/8 bowl gouge. Beautiful tool from:
Paulo Marin, ceo of CryoSteel Engineering & Technology, Inc. and Glaser Hitec CycleStart Engineering & Technology
If you look closely, it has my name engraved on it by them!
What a great tool! Thanks Jeff for the great fun.
Best wishes,
Roger Garrett
