First the Announcement.
This is my 9th year anniversary.

Now the Question.
A friend gave me a diamond head chisel tool manufactured by Craftsman. He got in a toolbox full of chisels at a yard sale. Other than using it for a parting tool, what else is it used for?

I am not sure that chisel will make a welcomed 9th anniversary gift. Flowers or leather for the ninth. Chisels are somewhere around the 79th. Happy aniversary.

Many of the old craftsman tools in the bucket are carbon steel -- If carbon steel, the edges are short lived.

I am not sure if you are describing a parting tool or a spear point tool. I have used parting tools as a stiff narrow skew on occasion. Spear point can be a scraper or a small skew depending on how you approach the cut. Neither is a main line application that is used much.

Best wishes on the next 41 years!!! Fifty is magic --
