"What's a comfort stone" you ask? If you are aware of a "worry bird", "worry fish" you are on the right track. These are also called "comfort" instead of "worry" which I feel sounds more soothing and calming.
These are turned wooden discs which fit nicely in your hand and can be rubbed or rolled over over in your hand. The smooth wood invites the touch and to be held. The larger ones are about 2 1/4" diameter to about 1 5/8" for smaller hands. Finish is one coat of mineral oil simply wiped on and wiped off and Beall buffed when dry. I have already given a couple to friends who are going through some hard times.
The woods are Walnut. Maple, Birch, Olivewood, and Rose Wood.
