Kits that take a 0.5 Pilot G2 refill

I'm looking for a kit that can take a 0.5 Pilot G2 refill and I'm having a really hard time finding one, so I figured I'd turn to you guys. Anyone know a kit that will take a 0l5 pilot G2 refill?

If you're willing to modify the refill a bit (cutting off some plastic), almost any pen that takes a Parker style ballpoint will take a Pilot G2 refill. If you don't want to modify the refill, almost any rollerball kit that takes a Schmidt 888 or equivalent will also take a G2 refill, but you may need to add some additional something inside the barrel to take up the extra length.

PSI's rollester takes them without modification. It's a capped pen, not click. I use a couple as desk pens with the pilot refills.

If you still want a click, the ones with the Schmidt click mech and the long rod can be ground down to accommodate the G2 refill (ie the Blade)

IIRC, Bullseye Pen Supply's Apollo and Artemis kits can use a Pilot G2 refill.

All rollerball pens I have tried will take the G2, but the tip doesn't always extend as far as the standard rollerball because the shoulder of the cartridge is slightly different. The Jr styles with the curved section don't work as well as the other ones I've tried.


The first picture is of the PSI Classic rollerball (and Classic II). These are narrower than the Jr.s but make for really nice pens.




These are not labeled yet, but this is a Zen kit. The second one is the G2

This one is a PSI fly fishing rollerball. You won't find one of those easily as they were discontinued, but the picture shows a good comparison of the refills
