Initially I was planning on using plastic polish on it, but even after I got to 12k grit it seemed dull. Then I tried friction polish and it lit up some. I'm now out of the crooked hill magnetic kits. On to another set......

That turned out very nicely. I love how the Blue infill pops, and the Banksia grain is as typical very nice. Thanks for sharing. đź‘Ť

That Banksia pod really made a Beautiful Pen. Since you are out of the Magnetic kits I thought I would let you know that the Eco Zen from Exotic Blanks is essentially the straight clip version of the Magnetic from Crooked Mill. Ed's Eco Zen is also a little less expensive and is available in more finishes than Crooked Mill has. I have both Crooked Mill and Exotic Blanks versions in my kit inventory but only because Exotic Blanks doesn't have the wavy clip version. I also really like the Satin Silver plating that comes from Exotic Blanks.

Regards,
Dave

The contrast looks great, as does the grain. (fibers?)
I've not worked with banksia pod yet, or cholla for that matter. So many materials to try...
