Never tried this material before, so why not give it a go. It definitely has a funky smell to it, not necessarily in a bad way, more of a hmm, what am I getting dosed with way. Ocean Mist blank from woodturningz, magnetic rollerball from Crooked Mill.

I read quite a few posts here on the forum with several suggestions, and it went pretty well using a round reverse rake carbide canted at 45 or so degrees and going at a high speed with very little pressure. Painted the inside of the blank with blue india ink just in case. Pardon the reflection of the overhead shop light.

That's beautiful! I'm going to say that your choice of paint worked since the narrower ends don't appear lighter/thinner than the rest of the barrel. Great finish, too.

Very well done! Would you mind sharing the ink's name and sourvce please? Thank you.
The ink is from Amazon. Purchased a variety pack to allow for some blendings if needed. It's Dr Ph Martin's

I used a cotton swab to apply to the inside of the blank. Not really sure about drying time as I painted it in the AM and turned it in the afternoon.

So probably about 12 hours. I presented the question to the seller on Amazon too. Thanks. I am going to buy it.
