I made these last week as gifts for some friends. The bolt action pen has a red mallee blank for a deer hunter buddy. The Washington Husky purple and gold rollerball has a blank from Resin Werks Studio and was made for a friend who played there. Resin Werks does a nice job creating collegiate or pro colors for sports teams. The brown rollerball is a blank called Taupe Dog from The Pensmiths and I really love the look it has on the pen. It went to a friend for a birthday gift with a writing journal.

All of the pen components came from Exotic Blanks, the roller balls are their Diamond Knurl kits.

All of the pens were sanded to 600, finished with Glu Boost, wet sanded to 12,000 and then a final buff with Flitz on the lathe before assembly.

Thanks for looking

Wow, Very Cool. That Taupe Dog is pretty amazing. You must have painted the inside of the blank (or the tubes) white? Your pen looks much lighter overall than the blanks that "The Pensmiths" have on their website.

They are all very attractive pens. - Dave

Thanks for the nice comments. I actually didn't paint the inside of either blank if you can believe it. They're alumilite so I decided to live dangerously.

"Mrs Bugradx2" does a nice job with brightness and contrast when she takes photos. It really brought out the coloration in the picture. In person it has some neat copper type flake that you can see in the photos a little bit.
