Actually, I think alot of schools are using SMART boards nowadays. At least my daughter did in grade/middle school. Pretty high tech stuff.Very nice. I also wonder what is used in classrooms today. Thanks for sharing.
They are really cool, my wife used one for her last 5 or so years teaching. Think of it as a computer screen that you can write on. They use a projector to project the image from a computer, and you use various tools to 'write' on the board, and that is transmitted from the board to the computer, and comes back from the projector. You can do multi-media presentations on it as well; a film or animation on part, while you can write notes on other parts of the screen. When they are off, they look just like a white board (in fact they double as a white board).
