Made this for one of my sisters-in-law for Christmas 2012. It's made from Walnut that was originally slated to be a gun stock…but had a knot or crack that got it rejected. A local hardwood source had a stack of those rejected gun stock blanks for a great price…and the knots/cracks didn't affect this project. :smile:
