Messing around with Chittum wood..

I had to look up the uniqueness of this wood..very interesting--after I made the pen..i'll go back for more..

""Chittum only grows in two places in the world---Huntsville, AL as you said, and the Mesopotamian regions. Supposedly it was the wood used by Noah to build the Ark. Interesting fact about it---it seemingly takes absolutely forever to rot. They've found pieces of it as furniture buried under thousands of years of sediment and while the pieces aren't intact of course, they haven't broken down significantly either. Also, it's extremely strong for its weight. Neat stuff and hard to get"" ((Copied from another member thanks).
