The soft brown tone of the riftsawn white oak complements the double celtic knot and satin black plating. The double knot and accent rings in the upper barrel comprise black veneer sandwiched between golden yellow veneer. I made the double knot by spacing the "rope" one saw kerf width between segments at 45° angle. A light wipe of walnut oil highlighted and enriched the colors before applying a CA finish.
