Last week I had posted that I was having trouble with my new G0555 Bandsaw. I had to really push to get it to cut. Well UPS dropped off my new Lenox blades about half an hour ago. Put one on and Im happy VERY happy to report it cuts like a dream. . So the blade that came with the saw was junk. Thought I would give the good news. Thanks for all the replys Rich H. :bananen_smilies039:

Lenny, that is because the places around here sell junk. Unfortunately for you and I, if we want quality products we need to either drive to Portland, New Hampshire, or the internet.

You got that right !
It's been a pet peeve of mine for awhile now. Seems like the Bangor area could support a Rockler or a Woodcraft or something!
Even that is an hour ride for me.

Go a little further .. Brentwood NH (down 95 to 101W) there's a place there
that has used tools on consignment and they'll weld Lenox blades while
you wait.

bandsaw blade

Yeah, that blade ended up in the corner, folded half a dozen times.

What I do with a shot bandsaw blade is to cut into various lengths and fold them into a V shape. They can then be used to support finished projects as they dry.
