Saving a thread on my computer

How do i save a thread to my computer with the pictures. I found out how to make it a printable version that I could copy and save but what about the pictures? Thanks Rich h.

Select File/save as, and save to the folder of your choosing. You will have to do that with each page of the post though. By no means am I a computer person. I just tried this and it works. If anyone has a better solution, speak up! Hope this helps.
 
I have a free PDF creator that functions like a printer.
http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php
Get that and install it. You'll then have a new "printer" which makes PDF.

At the top of the thread, in the "thread tools" drop down, select "show printable version". Got to "file" then "print..." in your browser, and print to that PDF creator. (The printable version removes extra icons and forum junk you don't need in a printed version.)

Then you have a PDF of the thread.

Oh, you'll also need GhostScript, a library of print formatting subroutines. That's free also, see the system requirements section of that link...

That will give you a pdf of the thread, but like the man said "what about the pictures"?
 
I use a Mac primarily and have a couple of programs that are "note" programs; I also have an old "bookwriter" porgram and a "Journaling" program. All of these allow me to Copy/Paste photos, Text, whole web pages, links etc and call on them at any time just by opening the program. Organizing the files or sections - is easy.

I am sure programs like these are as good as or even more sophisticated on the PC than the Macs. These programs are not "free form" databases per se, but they act every bit as good as free form databases and in some ways even better.
