Has anyone used the Alisam or similar universal indexing wheel on a Turncrafter Pro? The spindle is smaller behind the threads on the turncrafter and I wasn't sure if the wheel would still fit snuggly onto the shaft. Anyone have experience with this?

If no one replies, I'd give them a call. Friendly folks and they field test the wheels on each model so will know for sure how they fit.

How wide is the relief area behind the threads? Both my wheels are approx 1/8" thick and that might be thick enough to keep the edge of the wheel on the threads themselves.

Ok, thanks. I'll have to go out and measure it when I get a chance, but I think the relief area is closer to 1/4".

I guess let me ask this question as well. I assume as long as all of the holes are in the right spot, then an indexing wheel is an indexing wheel, so has anyone used ANY kind of indexing wheel on a Turncrafter Pro? If so, what kind was it and is there any reason I shouldn't get one?

I just got an email from them offering free shipping 'till the end of the year so called to see if it was OK to thare the discount. While I had him on the phone I mentioned your situation and he has several solutions for your particular lathe. If you're considering their wheel now you can get free shipping which isn't a big deal but at least it's a start!
