Hi all

Just wondering if the Elegant Beauty kits use the samme tubes as regular Sierra or Wall st kits?

Nope !
"EB" uses a 23/64 drill bit
"Sierra" uses a 27/64" drill bit
"EB" has the transmission press fit right into the cap
"Sierra" transmission & cap are seperate pieces
"EB" uses different sized bushings (no kidding.....thanks for that Captain Obvious

)
"EB" Overall length = 5.0"
"Sierra" Overall length = 5.25"

Both = are fantastic!! Great weight, very nice fit & finish.
Either way, you can't go wrong...............

I believe if it has "sierra" in the name it is a Sierra in a new wrapper.
Same sierra tooling as older Sierra's (with exception of Vista)

If it is Elegant Beauty with no "sierra tags" it is a completely different kit
with smaller tubes, bushings, and different drill.

I get more confused everytime I think about all this, because
the Sierra Elegant Beauty and Dayacom Elegant Beauty look
pretty similar. Somebody needs to change the name of something!!:biggrin:

A beautiful kit deserving of it's name. This kit is very simple to make and assemble. The wood blank needs to only be 2.25" long perfect for those small pieces of wood that are too short for a longer pen. The drill bit I use is an 9.10mm or a 9mm bit. As always the quality on these parts are impeccable.

*For those of you who make the Berea Kits, these do not take the Sierra bushings or drill bit size.**I don't have the instructions made for this yet.

AGREED! Look the same but different sized.

I like the fact that on the Dayacom Elegant Beauty, the turned material is significantly thicker when completed due to a smaller tube and nearly the same final outside dimensions. The quality of the Dayacom kits is also top notch.
