These are both eyedroppers with posting caps.

Quad lead threads on the cap and barrel done manually on the lathe.

The only parts that I didn't make is the nib and feed.

Soon I'll be adding a clip to this design.

Thanks for looking.

Nice! I assume you used a tap/die set to do the threads? Threads that fine would be almost impossible to do by hand. How long do you figure the threads would last?

No taps or dies.

They aren't chased by hand, if that's what you mean.

They are done manually on the metal lathe. Quad lead, 36tpi.

Right I forgot that metal lathes have the ability to make threads :) We had a JET metal lathe at the high school where I use to work though I never really tried making threads with it, I was actually more into the CNC machines we had, though the programs for the CNC metal lathe were rather limited.

Beautiful work as always! I really like the black pen.

On the green pen you are able to see the threads through the cap when closed, which I find a bit distracting.

Looking forward to seeing the clips you add to the design.

Great work, Quad lead :befuddled: I think I'd rather drink Bourbon, mater of fact, I'm sure I would after turning and doing the math, Pythagoras, would get blasted and he concocted the theory, You tryin to be one of them Renascence Guys???
