My finals have gotten much better and I'm actually quite happy with these. The ornaments are all hollow and they all weigh less than 3 ounces. I'm hoping to have a supply of these to offer on Etsy and holiday craft shows for next year. I have no idea what to charge as I see others selling them for a wide price range, approximately $30 - $200 dollars.

These are great. Did you think of trying a pattern where the segments produce a curve/radius. I am sure you know how to do it - cut and join the segments on a 30 or 40 degree angle (for example)?

I hollow the two halves before I glue them together. So your idea would be very tricky, at least with my method. I tried hollowing a couple finished spheres and in my opinion, it didn't feel very safe or pleasant to do. Since I have them hollowed before turning them, I can have a very small hole to locate the finals.

Great looking ornaments Ken. Envious of your finials as I struggle to get that to a level that I'm practicing to achieve. Well done indeed.
My finials have improved greatly. My previous ones were pretty clunky and amateurish. Ditching the carbide and using traditional tools helped greatly.
