Penn State turning between centers live center

All of a sudden, I am having the spanner nut that holds the bearing in the live center work loose. I've tightened it down as tight as I can, but it'll come loose again before I finish turning one blank any suggestions on keeping it tight?
Don't want to put Loctite on it in case I do need to replace the bearing.

Use the blue loctite-- it will hold but still able to remove.

Blue is what I use on everything. Just not sure I would be able to take the nut off using blue.

You'll have no problem getting it loose

As has been said already, blue Loctite is designed to be removable with normal hand tools (at about 50 to 60 foot-pounds of torque. If it is stubborn though, you can heat it with a heat gun to around 300 to 350 degrees F which will soften the acrylic resin in it so that it can be removed easier. - Dave

There is a purple one for small fasteners that is easier to remove than the blue. In other words the hold isn't as strong as the blue.

I think I've heard of that one before. I'll have to look for it. All I'm used to seeing are the red and blue loctite.
