Terry, fine job on the Buckeye Burl pens. Love turning Buckeye but always have to be so careful since the wood is quite soft. Did you by chance Stabilize your blanks before turning?

Curious also if they were stabilized… the down side to buckeye- way too dry at times. I used to stabilize all of mine before turning pens but now I just saturate the blank and drilled hole with ultra thin gluboost prior and during turning and get the same end results. I enjoy turning stabilized blanks I just don't enjoy stabilizing them.

I purchased them already stabilized from Exotic Blanks
