I inherited a collection of vintage nibs and holders.

I'm trying to find info about No. 206 rubber grip holders. The 204 cork grip is widely available while the 206 is nonexistent on the web.

When was it produced? Was production minimal compared to 204?

I queried the manufacturer this morning, but no reply yet.

If you Google General Pencil 204 or go right to eBay, you will see them. They are wood and came either black or red. Cork is at the business end. The rubber on the 206 looks and feels like pencil eraser.

Amazing! (or disheartening?) The Google AI result that you posted uses the same language that I used in my Reddit post. Google was silent about it before that post. Google AI is too easy to manipulate. Basically, a giant rumor mill.

You might find some penmen & calligraphers know what you are hoping to find out about that nib holder. There are a few who post on the Fountain Pen Network webstie and their FaceBook pages. There are several who post on FaceBook - perhaps the most knowledgeable I know of is Dr Joe Vitolo. I think you'll get better information from "expert users" - they tend to experiment with vintage nibs and holders.
