Hearing Aids

Do any of you members use the new Oticon Zeal hearing aids. If so would you mind sharing your thoughts on them. Pros or cons compared to the behind the ear style. Thanks

I use Oticon not sure of the model but I have the TV Adapter for mine so I can watch tv after my wife goes to bed and hear it.

I've had both. It seemed I had less trouble with sweat with the in the ear style. All of them are a pain in my opinion but I have to wear them to hear anything at all.

Oticon brand are excellent. I have a different model than Zeal but swear by them. Hearing aids are designed to fit your particular hearing loss. One brand/size does not fit all.

Keep us posted if you try these. I use the Phonak behind the ear, but it is so small some people have been around me for 2-3 years and never realized I wore them. Dog crunched one but it was covered for damage. Before I knew that I looked at Oticon and Jabra as they were much cheaper. Frank's comment above holds true. I found it interesting the Jabra brand promoted itself on enhanced ability to reduce background noise.

That could be a good thing if it works. The Phonak, even on settings for restaurant's, background noise and such still performs poorly in noisy environments.

Very interesting ....whatever brand is being considered....make sure they are adjusted properly and at least a 1 week trial offering to get a feel. Please do not buy blindly.
