It took a bit to figure out the process, but I'm pretty happy with these two. One, is appropriately bloodwood, and the other is grandillo.

That's really cool. I've enjoyed seeing your laser work. I never thought about using my laser for anything other than cutting wood up to make segmented blanks and simply engraving someone's name on a blank. I've learned a lot by following your work. - Dave

Running and programming lasers is nothing new to me, did it the last 20 years of my worklife. Laser at home is new, I've only had it a week or so. Creating a laser inlaid blank, I have a plan that seems clear in my head. Now whether that plan is successful is to be determined. I have a show tomorrow, so I'll probably work on it next week.

If it weren't for all the programing involved, I'd love to give the laser a try. Did a years worth of CNC work awhile back and the with all the programing it was just way to much for me.

The home use lasers are very very simple to use. If you can print on a sheet of paper, you can use a laser.
