Found a rare very thick skinned ball at a thrift store. Was a tough one to get a chunk off of.

Nice find. That is a thick shell. It looks like a slice of melon. Is it hard to polish that material? It's basically vulcanized rubber, isn't it?

I was wondering about the ring, the same as Mark. Guess I got my answer on it.

Most bowling balls haven't been made from Ebonite/Hard Rubber for quite a long time.

It is most likely some type of resin, Urethane, Reactive Resin, or something.
