Hi everyone,
I'm checking in from the Pacific Northwest. I'm in my mid-20s and am excited to dive back into this community.
I actually turned my first pen about 8 years ago, but as it often happens, life got busy and I had to step away from the lathe for a long time. Recently, I picked up an older Rockwell lathe for free that needed some love. After restoring it and getting it running again, I've caught the bug and started turning again.
Right now I'm shaking off the rust, but I'm really looking forward to learning how to create unique pens beyond just turning simple blanks. My long-term goal is to eventually dive down the rabbit hole of kitless pens.
Looking forward to learning from you all!
