The night before is casual and alot of people meet and hang out. The hotel is open and we do all the setup. Yes officially the day are Friday and Saturday. The agenda and demos are currently being worked out but we have 14 demos working on, the vendors are almost full (waiting on a few confirmations), and the dinner Friday night looks great. Working with the hotel to see if we can get food trucks for lunch on Saturday- kind of a new Chicago trend. Any other questions please post here.

And as always - Greg is the first in the MPG Hall Of Fame so I thank him for the post.

The sooner you sign up the more the big prize tickets you will get. Working out the details for a new lathe, some tools, and many many more prizes.

How do I register for the convention and how many people attend? I assume there is some sort of banquet, but I had to bribe my wife with a dinner at fine Italian place....will I be missing something really cool?

To register go to
Www.midwestpenturnersgathering.com

Use the link there to get the best rate on the hotel - about a $40 a night discount. If you go through the link on the MPG website you are eligible to win a free hotel night stay.

The only true cost is $59 for two full days of classes and events. You can opt for a mug, shirt or Friday dinner also.

Keep the questions coming.

I think there were 300 people there last year? If I remember correctly, Mark said there were 35 states and 3 Canadian provinces represented.

The dinner Friday night is communal affair where you can eat and get to know other turners.
